Welcome to Ben Mendelsohn Source, your first and unofficial fan site for Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn. He is best known for his distinctive performances in the dramas ANIMAL KINGDOM, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, KILLING THEM SOFTLY, STARRED UP, LOST RIVER, and MISSISSIPPI GRIND.
In 2016, he won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor for his role as black sheep Danny Rayburn in the Netflix original series ‘Bloodline’. Soon after that he gained international recognition in late 2016 as the villain Orson Krennic in the STAR WARS prequel, ROGUE ONE. He was most recently seen as an aging rock star in the indie drama UNTOGETHER, the Skrull leader Talos in the Marvel superhero film CAPTAIN MARVEL, and David Michod’s Netflix drama THE KING, Detective Ralph Anderson in THE OUTSIDER and an overwhelmed dad in the Australian indie drama BABYTEETH.
Ben’s current projects include the musical adaptation of the classic play CYRANO set to be released in December 2021, the serial killer thriller, MISANTHROPE directed by Damián Szifron and Ben will be reprising his role as Talos in the Disney+ series SECRET INVASION.
