Welcome to Ben Mendelsohn Source, your first and unofficial fan site for Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn. He is best known for his distinctive performances in the dramas ANIMAL KINGDOM, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, KILLING THEM SOFTLY, STARRED UP, LOST RIVER, and MISSISSIPPI GRIND.
In 2016, he won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor for his role as black sheep Danny Rayburn in the Netflix original series ‘Bloodline’. Soon after that he gained international recognition in late 2016 as the villain Orson Krennic in the STAR WARS prequel, ROGUE ONE. He was most recently seen as villain Nolan Sorrento in the Steven Spielberg blockbuster READY PLAYER ONE.
Currently, Ben can be found as the lead in Nicole Holofcener’s Netflix film THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS, and as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Otto Bathurst’s gritty reboot of ROBIN HOOD, now in theaters.
Ben’s future roles include an aging rock star in the indie drama UNTOGETHER, and the Skrull leader Talos in the Marvel superhero film CAPTAIN MARVEL.
